What it makes possible
AiTA is a local-first Visual Studio Code extension, dashboard, and command-line tool for understanding how AI coding assistants consume tokens. It scans supported local histories and turns them into practical analytics by provider, model, repository, task type, user, and engineering skill.
See where AI usage is going
Compare input, cached-input, output, reasoning, and total tokens alongside estimated public API cost. Filter a unified view by provider, model, date range, user, or account; then use repository, task, conversation, and skill-impact breakdowns to investigate the work behind the usage.
Keep engineering data under your control
Analytics are stored in a local SQLite database. Raw transcript text is analysed in memory for relevant signals and is not persisted in the normalised database by default, so proprietary code and conversations do not need to be sent to Chapar AI or another analytics platform.
Use it where you work
Run scans, open the dashboard, generate reports, check model and pricing drift, and export CSV, JSON, or Markdown data from the AiTA Visual Studio Code extension or command line.
